How to correctly get a job: Never get a job through an agency, ONLY THROUGH THE ACTUAL COMPANY. If they are hiring only through a staffing agency, its a very strong sign your salary will stay the same/be a lot lower than what other companies offer for the same position. Because they're using a staffing agency in the first place, this implies they want to cut down the costs to hire new employees.

I strongly agree. Most recruiters I worked with in the past have lied and told me what I wanted to hear. The companies through the agencies were awful to begin with as I ended up working for companies I directly applied to.
NEVER bad mouth anybody/company because be sure that somebody somewhere has once known somebody who worked with someone who knew your mother. Happened to me and their attitude changed towards me and I didn't get the job. Lesson learned 😂

Of course you can find a job after Sales. You just become a Marketing Manager. Having spent 40 years of my business life working in national any global sales for, in chronological order, the world largest Business Equipment, Computer and Telecommunications Industry Companies. Whose Marketing was commonly very poorly understood, which is why this century all of those high technology organisation simply gave away their global market to China. 5G switching equipment being the prime example with no European or American company having the equipment required to take market leadership after President Trump, followed immediately by the Prime Minister of Australia banned the use of Huawei 5G in the emerging IOT national networks. I am now working at that level and hold the firm opinion that the Marketing in Chinese high technology companies is second rate, but nobody knows. Phil.

Because I spent 12 weeks in COVID 19 Intensive Care, followed by the last 18 weeks in COVID 19 Recovery, where I am still confined to a single room, I cannot return to work. So I have been evaluating what opportunities exist for me to act in the role of a Consulting Marketing Manager by implementing my I.T.C. experience. In Melbourne Australia I have uncovered major opportunities in the Retail Sector which now exist because international companies bought the largest Retailers, who had been established for more than 120 years and now they are floundering. I uncovered a major opportunity in the Tourism market in Queensland after last year having raised $400m to restore Hayman Island, only to have the Malaysian owners cancel the Tender two days before the closing date. But that received direct support from four separate Ministers, opening the door to several Aviation and Defence Sector opportunities in Far North Queensland. That also extended to the new owners of the Cairns Airport reviving a $1bn Business Plan that they had cancelled the previous month to allow me to buy the land to construct three new hangers capable of housing a 737. That was done as the first step in a Marketing Plan to create a new market for Seaplane services from Cairns and Townsville and Cairns to the Great Barrier Reef and the Coral Sea islands. I did all of the above over a 12 month period, using a $40 Android phone, because that was all that I had with me when I collapsed and was taken to the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne Australia. When I was admitted, late in the evening, the Nurse in Charge told me that my COVID 19 infection was so advanced that I would not live more than two days. Early the next morning the Doctor in Charge told me that I would not see the end of the day. But I found enough new Marketing Manager "Consulting" opportunities to keep me working full-time for at least three years. And all of what I did could have been achieved by any competent Sales Manager, because I uncovered everyone of those projects in the daily newspapers that I read while I was lying in bed in Intensive Care, then in COVID 19 Recovery. Not hard Phil.
